Well, after a "slight " few month delay, the current issue of Easyrider's Tattoo Magazine (#224) featuring the Jinx Proof article finally hit the stands! Shot during the Summer of '07, the crew got a nice 8 page spread, and couldn't be happier. They would like to thank all the writers, editors and photographers of Easyriders for stopping on in again, and most of all a big thanks goes out to all the colorful clients who showed up to get photog-ed. With out our customers, we'd be nothing...so thanks again for keeping us going on 12 years strong now! |

In the "Pushing Ink" section of the current issue of Easyrider's Tattoo Magazine (#220) you'll find the smilin' crew of Jinx Proof featured. They came in a few months back and shot the sh*t out of a bunch of our clients, so be on the lookout for an upcoming feature very very soon! It's what they call a "teaser". But please don't come in and tease us about it, ok...? |

Jinx Proof was mentioned in the June 2007 issue of Alternative Press (#227) as a place to visit while in Washington D.C.  ABC News Channel 7 visits Jinx Proof to film segment for a live TV segment "Tattoo Tales"! 2/20/07 |

On Feb. 20, DC's ABC News Channel 7 came into Jinx Proof to film a live segment for their News at 5:00 broadcast. The subject of the story was to show both the negative and positive aspects of getting tattooed, and more importantly, to help educate those who don't know the difference. They also wanted to spice it up by showing an actual tattoo being applied live during the hour long broadcast, and of course they chose Jinx Proof as the place to do it. Cutting back and forth during the course of the show, reporter Matt Brock first introduced and interviewed customer Lindsay Vanmiddlesworth on why and what she was getting tattooed, then asked our own Dave Waugh some specifics about the procedure, safety aspects and local regulations and requirements concerning tattooing in the DC area. Checking in live three different times showing the progress then completion of the tattoo, the segment was wrapped up discussing proper care instructions and general information the public needs to look for when choosing to get tattooed. All in all, everything went according to plan and the live segment was a big success. And the tattoo was finished just in time! |
